Children’s Hope India - Tsunami Relief Fund
The powerful tsunamis that hit Southeast and South Asia have had a devastating effect on entire populations and countries, wiping out countless villages and people. They have also robbed children of their childhood: One third of the dead were children, too small and too weak to hold on as the relentless walls of water struck. Many of the children who survived have been left orphans, without homes, without a future. As the figures of the dead and injured continue to rise, Children’s Hope India has initiated the CH Tsunami Relief Fund to assist in the relief and re-building efforts. This will be an ongoing effort and we appeal to our supporters to give generously. Children’s Hope is a hundred percent volunteer organization with no overhead costs so the full donations will be earmarked for tsunami relief in the stricken areas.
Children’s Hope is a New York based nonprofit organization founded in 1992 by Indian professional women to raise funds for the health and education of underprivileged children. It funds 25 projects in India that impact 50,000 children. A dedicated, hands-on organization, Children’s Hope members personally oversee the implementation of various projects in
India to ensure that donations obtain optimum results.
Funds for tsunami relief will be dealt with in the same detailed and thoughtful manner, ensuring that they have the most impact. All donations are hundred percent tax deductible (Tax ID: 11-3198837).
